Give your AI
your context once.
Then every chat you ever start already knows who you are, what you do, and how you talk.
Most people open ChatGPT or Claude cold every time, so what comes back is generic and they re-explain their business in every chat. The fix isn't a better prompt, it's context given once: paste one interview prompt, let the AI interview you, then paste the short profile it writes into your settings. Takes about five minutes, you only do it once, and it works the same in ChatGPT and Claude.
Most people open ChatGPT or Claude cold, every single time. It knows nothing about you, so what comes back is generic. Usable, but generic. You end up re-explaining your business in every chat.
The fix isn't a better prompt. It's context, given once. Below is the exact way to do it, the way I do it, copy-paste ready. Takes about five minutes and you only do it once.
What you're about to set up
Here's the whole move, start to finish. No terminal, nothing installed.
Six steps, once
The only thing you have to paste
This is the prompt that does the work. Paste it into a fresh chat and let the AI interview you. Don't write a bio, just answer its questions like a normal conversation.
You're going to help me build a context profile you can reuse. Interview me one question at a time about my business. Ask about what I do, who I serve, my offers, how I talk, and what I usually come to you for. Ask one question, wait for my answer, then ask the next. When you've got enough, write a tight profile I can paste into your settings so every future chat starts already knowing me.
Set it up in ChatGPT
Paste the prompt into a new chat
Answer its questions, one at a time
Copy the profile it writes
Paste it into Custom Instructions
That's it. Every new chat now starts already knowing you. (ChatGPT's Memory, under the same Personalization menu, is a separate thing. It learns on its own over time. Leave it on, it complements this.)
Set it up in Claude
Same prompt, same profile. Claude gives you two good homes for it. Pick one.
Run the same interview prompt
Option A: a Project (best for one business)
Option B: account-wide custom instructions
Claude also has its own memory (on for everyone since early 2026) that summarizes your chats over time. Like ChatGPT, it works alongside the profile, not instead of it.
The prompt again, so you don't scroll

Before you ask
This is the stuff I wish someone had just shown me.
I put out one of these a week. The boring, useful part of AI for people who run real businesses. No hype, no jargon.
The profile is the beginner version. The real thing is wiring your business so AI actually runs parts of it. That's a conversation, starting with a free call.
