The short version

I'm J Ritter. Fifteen-plus years inside service businesses before I ever built automation for one. Most automation shops sell you a tool they're certified in. We sell the diagnosis. You don't have a customer problem. You have a system problem.

J Ritter, founder of AutoJate

Founder, AutoJate · Dallas, TX

I spent 15+ years inside service businesses. Operations, hiring, the parts that don't get a press release. Not running a tech agency. Actually running the version where the phone is ringing, the spreadsheet is wrong, and the right person isn't in today.

The same thing was true at every one of them. The work was fine. The people were fine. What was missing was any system that held it together, so it all ran through whoever cared most, and that person was always underwater. I watched owners decide that was just what ownership costs. It isn't, and I got tired of watching it.

Most automation shops sell you tools. Make.com. N8N. Zapier. GoHighLevel. HubSpot. Whatever they're certified in or have an affiliate program with. AutoJate sells the diagnosis, which tools matter for your shape of business, in what order, and how they connect. The system gets built around how you actually work, not the other way around. That's the difference.

Penny and Poppy · live proof

Anyone can advise. I built Penny and Poppy, and they run the phones at three Pinot's Palette studios, the first two since Apr 8.

Not a demo. Live numbers, pulled straight from their call logs.

And since people ask: the J isn't short for anything. It's the whole name, after both of my grandfathers. No period needed.
